Free Solo, is the National Geographic feature film of rock climber Alex Honnold's attempt to conquer the first free solo climb of famed El Capitan's 900m vertical rock face at Yosemite National Park.

It was an exhausting 100 minutes as we watched Alex make several attempts to make this climb, we watched  him train, find a balance between his two loves, Sandi and free climbing.

If you weren't on the edge of your seat from the beginning of the film; the last 20 minutes certainly had nearly everyone in the room on the edge of their seat or right off their seat and standing, holding their breathe, and in complete silence as Alex completed his epic climb.

And he did it, I guarantee everyone in the room burst into applause there and then before the film finished. People sat down in relief and shuffled their butts back onto their seats!!

Congratulations Alex on your achievement.
