Food on Korcula Island, Croatia.

DSCN9229.JPG

I'm staying a few days on Korcula Island. I feel like I'm on the location of a cross between "Shirley Valentine" and "Doc Martin".  a few yachts, a few fishing boats, a few people chatting, a few islands on the horizon and me!

I got my bearings pretty quickly, two pubs, two churches, a post office, corner store, ice cream shop ( handy!) and a cafe. The beach here is beautiful, small but beautiful. I'm off for a swim and discover another beach around the point a short rock hop away.

I decided to swim here and wait for the sun to set.  A few clouds were building up so I thought it might be worth the wait. And it was! I then walked home along the narrow roadway. !

The walk home was very foody!! Very Croatian no doubt and very Mediteranean!! Ms Marco Polo was very happy with this part of her adventure. It is believed that Marco Polo was born less than 15 minutes from here.

and when I got back to my guest house the family next door had just finished cooking their dinner and always finish off by roasting some rosemary to freshen the small of their cook house.

I feel like I've eaten dinner and no need for anything else, oh except for maybe an icecream???
