This is an awesome bridge. It's like Westgate AND Bolte bridges on steroids. I crossed over it on my way from Felixstowe to Folkstone.
I was in Felixstowe to collect my bike. Just a little excited as it was in February that I left the bike in Melb with the shipping agent. ( refer Bye Bye Bike). Mine was the first to be collected and staff there were very helpful checking everything including tyre pressures. I connected the battery terminals, pulled choke and away it started. and I'm off to Folkstone for the night before catching the train to France. First signs on the highway way were a reminder to keep left, in four languages! With the help of my GPS I negotiated numerous freeways and even more roundabouts AND crossed that big bridge and found myself in Folkstone on the north shore of the English Channel. Wow. I made it! No tolls and still upright! Two ticks there!! Traffic wasn't too crazy. What I saw of farmland looked beautiful. Greener than green and trees everywhere. Some covered in white blossom, very pretty.
Arriving in Folkstone I checked into my grungy hotel and headed out to the beach. Well stony shore! A few people fishing, I'm not going for a swim. I got cold enough on the bike, it was a chilly wind, cold enough for me to use my heated hand grips.
