While I'm in Split it is my daily ritual to go to Nadalina Chocolate shop to buy 100 g of chocolate coated ginger. They have beautiful chocolate and chocolate bars of many descriptions, but the loose pieces of choc coated ginger is all I've ever bought and tasted there.
Yesterday when I was again visiting the tiny shop of Nadalina there was a gentleman hanging around chatting to the salesgirl. When I came in he stepped back into a corner of the shop. He stood near a newspaper cutting of a fellow holding an EP. So I guessed and asked if the photo was him. Bingo! Not only was it him in the photo, he is Mr Nadalina, chocolatier and muso!!
Last year he recorded a chocolate EP with his music and sells it. It's quite playable AND edible.
His core business, in Split is wholesaling local herbs and spices. Chocolate and music are his passions.
He suggested I try two of his fave chocolates- a carob crusted truffle of goooy chocolate and another similar truffle of chocolate that was flavoured with olive oil. The carob, or rogac one was divine, it certainly rivalled the choc coated ginger.
The EP was played at the London Chocolate Fest last year, where he picked up some awards for his chocolate bars
