Libar food and wine

downa foodie lane beside St Francis Church is at least one Michelin recommended restaurant. However the Annie recommended restaurant is right beside the Church and their roof top terrace is so close to the bell tower that you can see the bells swing, so it's not recoded bell ringing, like so many churches across Europe.

Libar is an old Croatian word which means ' a book'. This is he front page of the first literary work ever written in Croatian language. The first line translates, this book is written by Marko Marulic, a man from Split. The story was titled Judita.

A beautiful bronze sculture of Marko, in one of the courtyards I need the Old Town, Split.  He also features on the 500 Kuna note, but I haven't seen any of those.
